Lacemaking....

On August 14, 1987, the USPS issued four different stamps commemorating the art of Lacemaking. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with all four stamps cancelled from the city of issue (Ypsilanti, Michigan) on the first day of issue captioned above.  From upper left to lower right, they feature:  Squash Blossoms, two Floral Designs, and Dogwood Blossoms.

The blue-toned cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a lacemaker making bobbin lace.  An inset shows a close-up view of the bobbins.

Double matted in blue & white, this piece is sized to fit a standard 8 X 10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
