On July 6, 2000, the USPS issued a set of twenty stamps honoring 20 different Baseball Players called Legends in Baseball. Lou Gehrig was one of the twenty making this stamp his second US stamp (the first was issued in 1989.) Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the Gehrig stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Atlanta, Georgia) on the first day of issue captioned above.
