On October 1, 2001, the USPS issued a stamp to honor Porky Pig.  This was the fifth and final stamp of a series of five that would be issued over a five-year period to celebrate the laughter generated by several Looney Toon characters. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp  cancelled from the city of issue (Beverly Hills, Ca.) on the first day of issue captioned above.  Note the special cancellation for this stamp!

The addition of the four other stamps in the series - Bugs Bunny (issued 1997), Tweety & Slyvester (issued 1998), Daffy Duck (issued 1999), Wile E. Coyote & Road Runner (issued 2000) - to the envelope and cancelled along with the Porky Pig stamp make this a Combo.  Believe me, it's the most desirable cover from the whole Looney Toons set.

The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features the lovable, stuttering Porky Pig, who will be forever-outwitted by quick-thinking Bugs Bunny.  If you are a fan of Looney Toons, this is the ultimate piece for your wall.  It has all the bells & whistles...a great cachet printed on silk, all 5 stamps in the series cancelled on the first day of the last stamp in the series, a special cancellation and an envelope that is unaddressed and pristeen.....the ultimate collectible, historic, piece of movie and animation memorabilia for the fan of Looney Toons.  That's All Folks!

Double matted in blue & white, this piece will fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
