In 1959, the USPS issued several stamps to commemorate the 150 Anniversary of the birth of Abraham Lincoln. One of these celebrated the dedication of the Lincoln Memorial May 30, 1922. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Washington DC) on the first day of issue, May 30, 1959.
The cachet (artwork on the envelope) features the exterior of the Lincoln Memorial. Note the additional special cancellation created for this stamp.
This cover is joined by a black & white photo print and three uncancelled, collectible stamps....Gettysburg Address, Lincoln-Douglas Debates, and the Emancipation Proclamation.
Matted in blue it will fit a standard 11 x 14 picture frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
