On March 9, 1992, the USPS issued a stamp to honor Supreme Court Judge from 1953-1969, Earl Warren. Having devoted his entire life to public service, Chief Justice Warren is best known for his decision in the landmark case - Brown v. Board of Education. Shown here is a genuine FIRST DAY COVER, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the CITY OF ISSUE (Washington DC) on the FIRST DAY OF ISSUE captioned above.
The full-color CACHET (artwork on the envelope) features a portrait of Warren with the pillars of the Supreme Court building in the background. This is a collectible, historic piece of Law memorabilia. The company that produced this cover has written a brief commentary about Justice Warren, which we've included.
Double matted in green & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame. ***CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY and COMMENTARY INCLUDED***
