On September 29, 1975, the USPS issued a stamp to commemorate the Seventh World Law Conference held in Washington, DC - World Peace Through Law. Shown here is a genuine FIRST DAY COVER, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the CITY OF ISSUE (Washington DC) on the FIRST DAY OF ISSUE captioned above.

The cachet (artwork on the envelope) depicts the statue of 'blind justice.'  The stamp further celebrates the International Women's Year, calling attention to the plight of women around the world, a major topic of the Conference.

Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame.   ***CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY INCLUDED***
