On August 16, 1974, the USPS issued a set of three stamps commemorating Life in Rural America. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp for the Introduction of Kansas Hard Winter Wheat cancelled from the city of issue (Hillsboro, KS) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The black & white cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a farmer on his combine harvesting the wheat. Historic, collectible, this matted cover makes a great gift for a wheat farmer.

Double matted in green & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
