The second stamp to commemorate the Korean War was issued in 1999 along with 14 other stamps to commemorate events of the 1950's.  This set of 15 stamps belonged to a bigger set of 150 stamps (15 for each decade) called Celebrate the Century.    Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Springfield, Mass.) on the first day of issue, May 26, 1999.

The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) is printed on silk surrounded by gold embossing.  The shear magnitude of 150 stamps in one series forced many companies to  produce only one piece of artwork for each decade.  This company did individual artwork for all 150 stamps, adding to the value & collectibility of this cover.

Historic, collectible, this cover is unaddressed and pristeen.  If someone in your family was a part of this war,  this piece of postal & military memorabilia  will be handed down to future generations as a reminder of your family's service to country.

Double matted in militay green & white, we have sized it to fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity Included as well as a Short Commentary of this Event***
