The third stamp to commemorate the Korean War was issued in 2003. It celebrates the dedication of the Korean War Veterans Memorial in Washington DC on July 27, 1995. Inscribed with the words, "Freedom is not Free," this memorial pays homage to the US veterans who were a part of this 3-year conflict. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Washington DC) on the first day of issue, July 27, 2003.
The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features the different branches of service. Historic, collectible, this cover is unaddressed and pristeen. If someone in your family was a part of this war, this piece of postal & military memorabilia will be handed down to future generations as a reminder of your family's service to country.
Double matted in militay green & white, we have sized it to fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included ***
