On February 12, 1987, the USPS issued a stamp to honor Julia Ward Howe, abolitionist, reformer, writer, author of "The Battle Hymm of the Republic," and president of the New England Woman Suffrage Association. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with her stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Boston, MA) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The color cachet (artwork on the envelope) shows a portrait of Howe.  It's printed on silk, the luster lending an-almost three dimensional look to the picture. This is one of several collectible, historic pieces of  Woman's Rights and American History Memorabilia offered by Wall Art Collectbles.

Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity Plus Issue Dates of the Other Stamps Included***
