On October 8, 1999, the USPS issued a stamp commemorating Hanukkah, the Jewish Festival of Lights. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp, depicting a colorful menorah, cancelled from the city of issue (Washington DC) on the first day of issue captioned above. This stamp was first issued in 1996, then subsequently in 2001 and 2002.
The full-color watercolor cachet (artwork on the envelope) features children playing with a dreidel, a lighted menorah in the background. This is one of several pieces of Postal Stamp Art celebrating Judaica offered by Wall Art Collectibles.
Double matted in blue & white, its sized to fit a standard 8 X 10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
