On January 20, 1961, John F. Kennedy was sworn in as the 35th President of the United States. Shown here is a genuine Commemorative Inaugural Cover with the postmark "freezing" the date and place that the inauguration occurred. The 4 cents flag stamp furnished current postage, for without it, the post office would not cancel.
The black & white cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a portrait of Kennedy and a small inset of the White House. This is the most sought-after Inaugural Cover of any modern president. When you own one of these you own a real piece of history.
Double matted in blue & white, it will fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame.
