On September 16, 1995, the USPS issued a set of ten stamps honoring ten different Jazz Musicians.  Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp for "Jelly Roll" Morton cancelled from the city of issue (Monterey, CA) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features New Orleans born Morton at the piano. The producer of this cover has written a short commentary about the life of Morton and his contribution to Jazz; a copy has been included for you.

Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 X 10 frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity plus Commentary Included***
