On September 16, 1995, the USPS issued a set of ten stamps honoring ten different Jazz and Blues musicians.  Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover for the great saxophonist Coleman Hawkins...an envelope with his stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Monterey, CA) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a portrait of Hawkins and a small inset of him playing the saxophone. The cachet is in full-color and printed on silk.

The piece is double matted in blue & white and sized to fit a standard 8 X 10 frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
