On September 16, 1995, the USPS issued a set of ten stamps honoring ten different Jazz Musicians. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp for jazz piano legend Erroll Garner cancelled from the city of issue (Monterey, CA) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The sepia cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a collage of some of the honorees in this Legends of Jazz series.
