1963 marked the final year Norman Rockwell was with the Saturday Evening Post. That portraits were depicted on all five covers he created. This cover features the artwork on the January 19, 1963 cover...a sensitive rendering of India's Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru. Rockwell was particularly proud of this portrait, as he travelled to India to paint this great world leader and advocate of peace.
Shown here is a genuine Commemorative Cover commemmorating the 'birthday' of the World Peace Through World Trade stamp - issued April 20, 1959 from the city of issue Washington DC. The stamps on this cover were cancelled exactly 20 years later.
