On July 2, 1988, the USPS issued an imprinted postcard with the imprint or 'stamp' commemorating the 150th Anniversary of Iowa Territory. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, the postcard with the full-color imprint or 'stamp,' cancelled from the city of issue (Burlington, IA) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The green-toned cachet (artwork on the envelope produced by a private company, not the post office) features the Old Capitol Building and Robert Lucas, the 1st governor of Iowa Territory.

Double matted in green & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
