On August 1, 1996, the USPS issued a stamp commemorating the 150th Anniversary of the Statehood of Iowa. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp, cancelled from the city of issue (Dubuque, IA) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope produced by a private company, not the post office) repeats the farmland theme. The producer of this cover ha written a brief commentary about Iowa, which we've included.
Double matted in green & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity plus Commentary Included***
