On January 6, 1990, the USPS issued a stamp commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the Statehood of Idaho. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the full-color stamp, depicting Idaho's State Bird, the Mountain Bluebird, cancelled from the city of issue (Boise, ID) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope produced by a private company, not the post office) captures several Idaho vignettes....fly fishing, farming, prospecting, and wildlife. The company that produced this cover has also written a brief commentary about Idaho, which we've included.
Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity plus Commentary Included***
