On January 6, 1994, the USPS issued a set of five stamps highlighting five different events of the winter Olympics of 1994. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp celebrating Ice Hockey and featuring a Goalie cancelled from the city of issue (Salt Lake City, UT) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a hockey player poised for action. The producer of this cover has also written a short history of ice hockey, first played in Montreal in 1855. Historic, collectible, this is a great piece of Ice Hockey Memorabilia.
Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity plus Commentary Included ***
