Shown here is a Commemorative Cover with the postmark "freezing" the place where Yankee Hoyt Wilhem was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame (Cooperstown, NY) and the date it occurred (July 28, 1985.) Wilhelm holds the distinction of being the first relief pitcher to be inducted. Note: On a Commemorative Cover, the stamp serves the purpose of furnishing current postage...the post office will not postmark unless it's there.
The cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a portrait of Wilhelm printed on silk. Historic, collectible, this is a great piece of Yankees memorabilia.
Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame.
