Kentucky Derby....

On May 4, 1974, the USPS issued a stamp commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the running of the Kentucky Derby. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the ten cents Horse Racing stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Louisville, KY) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a drawing of Aristides, the 1st Kentucky Derby winner, as well as a smaller drawing of him racing.  Historic, collectible, this matted cover is a great piece of Horse Racing memorabilia.
Double matted in green and white, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
