On October 26, 1964, the USPS issued a stamp to honor Homemakers and to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Smith-Lever Act, legislation that provided the Cooperative Extension Service. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Honolulu, Hawaii) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The black & white cachet (artwork on the envelope) features an American home with the words, "Today's Home Builds Tomorrow's World."
Double matted in green & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
