HEROES of 9/11.............

On June 7, 2002, the USPS issued a stamp depicting the now famous photograph taken by Thomas E. Franklin of firefighters William Eisengrein, George Johnson and Daniel McWilliams as they raised the United States flag at Ground Zero.  Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with a plate block of four stamps cancelled from one of the cities of issue (New York City) on the first day of issue captioned above.  The other two cities of issue were Arlington, VA to commemorate the Heroes of the Pentagon, and Shanksville, PA to honor the passengers and crew of United Airlines Flight 93.

The color cachet features a drawing of the event pictured on the stamp.

Double matted in blue and white, this piece is sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame.   ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
