On May 23, 2001, the USPS issued a stamp depicting, a proudly-waving American Flag, Honoring Veterans.  Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Washington, DC) on the first day of issue captioned above. The addition of four older stamps which were cancelled along with the new stamp make this a Combo - an extra special First Day Cover.  The four stamps all commemorate a different war of the 20th century: a 22 cents stamp for WWI issued in 1985, a 3 cents stamp depicting the Honorable Discharge Emblem for WWII, a 15 cents stamp for the Vietnam Veterans, and, finally a 22 cents stamp for the Veterans of Korea

The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features the Medal of Honor with soldiers holding the US Flag and saluting a fallen comrade. It's printed on silk, the luster lending an-almost three dimensional quality to the picture.  Collectible, historic, this is a great way to honor the veteran in your family.

Double matted in blue and white, this piece is sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity***
