HEROES of 9/11 - The Pentagon.............

Franklin of firefighters William Eisengrein, George Johnson and Daniel McWilliams as they raised the United States flag at Ground Zero. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from one of the cities of issue (New York City) on the first day of issue captioned above. The other two cities of issue were Arlington, VA to commemorate the Heroes of the Pentagon, and Shanksville, PA to honor the passengers and crew of United Airlines Flight 93.
The black and white cachet features the New York City skyline with the World Trade Center, an American flag is in the background. Firemen and policemen are in the forefront. Shown above the cachet are the words "Official First Day of Issue."
