On March 12, 1984, the USPS issued a stamp commemorating the 25th Anniversary of the Statehood of Hawaii. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the full-color stamp, depicting a Hawaiian Outrigger with proa sails, cancelled from the city of issue (Honolulu, HI) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope produced by a private company, not the post office) features a lovely Hawaiian beach, the flags of the U.S. and Hawaii, and King Kamehameha I. The company that produced this cover has also written a brief commentary about Hawaii, which we've included.
Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity plus Commentary Included***
