The new stamp, depicting Peck in his Oscar-winning role for Best Actor as Atticus Finch in the 1962 film To Kill a Mockingbird, is shown here on a genuine 1st Day of Issue Postal Cover (envelope), cancelled from the city of issue (Beverly Hill, CA) on the first day of issue
captioned above. Note the special postmark, depicting a facsimile of
Peck's signature, created expressly to cancel this stamp on it's
'birthday.'
The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a photo of Peck that is printed on silk, surrounded by an embossed gold border.
