When it comes to the GREEN BAY PACKERS, they win the jackpot with US Stamps. In 1997 Vince Lombardi became one of only two professional football coaches to be honored with a stamp. The 2 square stamps were issued in 1999 in a series of 15 stamps to celebrate the decade of the 1960's. One is for the 1st Superbowl played in Green Bay and won by Green Bay. The other commemorates the Green Bay Packers as being the "winningest" team of the 1960's. Wow! The 1st Football Team to be honored with it's own stamp!
