On March 12, 1987, the USPS issued a stamp commemorating the 75th Anniversary of the Girl Scouts. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Washington, DC) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The full-color silk cachet (artwork on the envelope) features founder, Juliette Lowe with Girl Scouts in the foreground saluting the American flag. This cover has all the bells and whistles...great art printed on silk, unaddressed, and a beautiful stamp depicting some of the many badges. It's truly a handsome collectible, historic piece of Girl Scout memorabilia.
Double matted in green and white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
