On June 15, 1979, the USPS issued a stamp to honor the 50th anniversary of the first Guide Dog school established in the U.S. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover with the stamp depicting a German Shepherd cancelled from the city of issue (Morristown, NJ) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a close-up picture of a German Shepherd and his lifelong companion. The producer of this cover has also included a short commentary about the National Guide Dog Program, designed to give mobility, freedom and independence for the world's blind.

Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame.  *** Certificate of Authenticity and Commentary Included***
