On May 31, 1978, the Royal Mail of Great Britain issued a set of stamps commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Edinburgh) on the first day of issue captioned above.
In this series, each cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a different Royal House...this one, the House of Tudor (1485-1603.) The Coat of Arms is depicted in full color. Also included is brief history of the Tudor which is printed on the back of the envelope that we have copied for you.
Matted in blue, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
