On May 1, 1969, the USPS honored beloved artist, Anna Mary Robertson Moses - Grandma Moses with a stamp depicting her painting, 'The Fourth of July'.  Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Washington, DC) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a black & white portrait of Grandma Moses, who completed over 2,000 paintings  in her life and who was still painting at age 100!  Historic, collectible, this is a very personal gift for anyone who loves and appreciates the primitive art of Grandma Moses.

It's double matted in  green & white and will fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
