On October 1, 1992 the USPS issued a set of five stamps commemorating Wild Animals. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover for the Giraffe stamp cancelled from the city of issue (New Orleans) on the first day of issue captioned above. Note the clever cancellation!
The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) is printed on silk surrounded by gold embossing. With their liquid eyes and long eye lashes, it's no wonder people the world over succumb to the charm of this graceful creature.
Double Matted in green & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
