On September 13, 2002, the USPS issued a set of four stamps to commemorate Four Different Bats - the Red, Leaf-Nosed, Pallid and Spotted.  Shown here is a First Day Cover, the complete set of four is cancelled from the city of issue (Austin, Tx.) on the first day of issue (see above.)

The cachet (artwork on the envelope) is what adds to the delight of this cover.  The artist who works in water color added a touch of whimsy to her artwork with the Batman symbol.  Collectible, historic, this cover pays tribute to the tiny flying mammals that are so beneficial to our world.

Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
