On October 25, 1979, the USPS issued a stamp to celebrate the Folk Guitar. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Shreveport, LA), on the first day of issue captioned above.  The addition of the Jimmie Rodgers stamp, issued in 1978, cancelled along with the Guitar Stamp makes this a Combo.

The black & white cachet (artwork on the envelope produced by a private company, not the post office) features a young woman playing the guitar.

Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
