This is a First Day of Issue for the United We Stand Stamp, the first stamp issued to mark the events of 9/11. Added to the the envelope was the 1948 Volunteer Fireman stamp, which was cancelled in October 2001 along with the United We Stand stamp on its "birthday." We have added the Heroes stamp (issued in 2002) in order to have both postal tributes to the people who gave their lives in this tragedy.
The company that produced the cachet (artwork on the envelope) further honored the the Heroes by its artwork, THE NEW TWIN TOWERS. Double Matted in blue and white, this piece is sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame. It comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
