On March 23, 1990,the USPS issued a set of four stamps honoring The Classic Films of 1939...Gone With the Wind, Beau Geste, Stagecoach, and The Wizard of Oz. Ironically, two of these films became two of the most-loved films of all time. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with all four stamps cancelled from the city of issue (Hollywood, CA) on the first day of issue, captioned above.
The black & white cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a director's chair, an Oscar, a camera, a reel of film, and a movie marquee. Collectible, historic, this is a great addition to one's Movie Memorabilia.
Double Matted in blue & white, this piece is sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
