In 1992 and 1994, the company of Fleetwood produced a set of Commemorative Covers celebrating U.S. Military Aircraft. Shown here is the one for the F-111 "Aardvark", one of America's finest fighter-bombers.
On a commemorative cover, the stamp is immaterial; it's only there because the Post Office will not cancel unless there is current postage. The cancellation shows the stamp cancelled from Ft. Worth, Texas, December 21, 1992. The cachet (artwork on the envelope) shows a dramatic picture of the F-111 on a night mission.
Matted in blue, this piece is sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame. A short blurb on the F-111 is included.
