On September 17, 1999, the USPS issued a stamp to commemorate the Ford Mustang. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Green Bay, Wi.) on the first day of issue captioned above. The introduction of the Ford Mustang by Ford's general manager, Lee Iacocca, was one of fifteen events selected to represent the decade of the 1960's in the 150 stamp series called Celebrate the Century

The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features the first affordable snappy-looking "personal" car.  Great art printed on silk, unaddressed, this cover is a collectible, historic piece of automobile and postal memorabilia.

Double matted in blue & white, this piece will fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity Included as well as a short commentary on the Ford Mustang***
