On February 23, 1976, the USPS issued a set fo 50 stamps commemorating the 50 State Flags in the Bicentennial Year.  Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp with the State Flag of Florida cancelled from the city of issue (Washington, DC) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The color cachet (artwork on the envelope produced by a private company, not the post office) shows a statue of Edmund K. Smith, Educator, Confederate General, and having the distinction as being the last general to surrender to the Union during the Civil War.

Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
