On March 3, 1995, the USPS issued a stamp commemorating the 150 Anniversary of Florda Statehood.  Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp, depicting a lively gator, cancelled from the city of issue (Tallahassee, FL) on the first day of issue captioned above.   The addition of three older stamps, which were added to the envelope and then cancelled with the new one on its 'birthday', make this cover a Combo, an extra-special First Day Cover.

The older stamps are the 1945 stamp commemorating the Centennial of Florida Statehood; the 1947 stamp honoring the Everglades National Park; and, the 1965 stamp celebrating the 400th Anniversary of the Founding of St. Augustine.

The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope produced by a private company, not the post office) shows the peninsula of Florida, the State Flag, Palms and Orange Trees, a Sandy Beach, and a watchful Gator.  The picture is printed on silk surrounded by gold embossing.  This cover has all the bells & whistles ....a Combo with three extra, historic Florida stamps, and a great full-color cachet printed on silk.

Double matted in green & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
