On October 15, 1998, the USPS issued their religious Christmas stamp, actually a set of four stamps depicting four different Christmas Wreaths. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the Traditional Evergreen Wreath stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Christmas, Michigan) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) shows a beautiful evergreen wreath puctuated with pinecones and holly, adorned with a big red bow. The producer of this cover has also written a brief commentary on the contributions of European countries to our American Christmas traditions. We have included a copy for you.
Double matted in green & white, this piece is sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
