On May 31, 1980, the USPS issued a stamp to honor Emily Bissell, pioneer in the fight against tuberculosis and the organizer of the Christmas Seal Campaign. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Wilmington, De.) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a portrait of Bissell inside the first Christmas Seal design.
