On February 8, 1960, the USPS issued a stamp to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Washington DC) on the first day of issue captioned above.
We've joined this cover with a full-color print of the pinning ceremony of an Eagle Scout by Norman Rockwell and topped the whole thing off with three uncancelled collectible stamps: a 1950 stamp depicting the three levels of Scouts; a 1960 stamp again featuring the artwork of Norman Rockwell; and a beautiful eagle and shield stamp issued in 1992.
This piece has all the bells & whistles....great art, a historic First Day Cover, and three collectible stamps honoring the Eagle Scout.
Matted in blue, it's sized to fit a standard 11 x 14 frame. ***CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY INCLUDED***
