Eagle Scout Rockwell Print Lincoln BSA 75th Anniversary 1st Day Cover 3 Stamps .... On October 7, 1985, the USPS issued a set of four stamps to commemorate the International Youth Year and the 75th Anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new Boy Scouts stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Chicago, IL) on the first day of issue captioned above. The cachet
(artwork on the envelope) features a Cub Scout, a Boy Scout, and an
Eagle Scout, plus two flags. The company that produced this cover has
also written a brief commentary about the Boy Scouts, which we've
included.
We've joined this cover with a full-color print by Norman Rockwell of an Eagle Scout with
Washington, Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt and Charles Lindbergh in the
background. To top off the piece, there are three uncancelled
stamps...the 1950 World Jamboree Boy Scout stamp, the 1960 50th
Anniversary Boy Scout stamp, and the 1992 US Eagle & Shield stamp.
Matted in blue, it's sized to fit a standard 11 x 14 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity plus Commentary Included***
