On May 12, 2004, the USPS issued a stamp commemorating the Great Seal of the United States of America. It has been depicted many times on stamps, always with the eagle, the olive branch, and a shield with 13 red & white stripes. On this stamp only two colors were used on each of the 5 color combinations. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with all 5 color combinations cancelled from the city of issue (Washington DC) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features the US Bald Eagle. This is one of several collectible, historic pieces of Patrotic Americana offered by Wall Art Collectbles.
Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
