On May 20, 1986, Great Britain issued a stamp to commemorate the European Wild Cat. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Edinburgh) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a beautiful wild cat, now pretty much confined to remote areas of the Scottish Highlands. The producer of this cover has written a brief commentary about this enigmatic cat. We have included a copy for you.
Matted in green, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame. *** Certificate of Authenticity plus Commentary Included***
