On February 27, 1987, the USPS issued a stamp to honor one of the greatest tenors of all time, Enrico Caruso. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover....in this case, a Proofcard with Caruso's stamp cancelled from the city of issue (New York City) on the first day of issue (captioned above.)
The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) shows Caruso looking quite dapper surrounded by line drawings of his many operatic roles. If you love opera, this cover will be a welcome addition to your wall. This is a collectible, historic piece of Music memorabilia
Matted in blue, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame. ***CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY INCLUDED plus a short commentary on Caruso***
