Dwight D. Eisenhower.... On January 20, 1953, Dwight D. Eisenhower was sworn in as the 34th President of the United States. Shown here is a genuine Commemorative Inaugural Cover with the postmark "freezing" the date and place that the inauguration occurred. The 1950 stamp featuring the White House furnishes current postage, for without it, the post office would not cancel. Eisenhower served two terms; this Inaugural Cover is for his first.
Because of the age of this cover, it is getting hard to find. Postal Stamp Art is proud to offer this piece of historic, collectible Presidential Memorabilia. The black & white cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a portrait of Eisenhower.
Double matted in blue & white, it will fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame.
